Default Gear Oil Leakage?

Okay,
So I was changing the engine oil on my '93 sc300 today and noticed that this center block in the rear of the car is covered with gear oil. I don't know what you call the part, but it sits in the center rear of the car, where the two drive axiles and the crank come together. I'm guessing that maybe a gasket must have gone bad. Has anyone seen this problem occurs to their SC? Do I need to be worry and fix it imediately? If so, what's the most cost effective way to fix it? Thanks in advance

I had the same oil action back there,I checked the level, and it was fine.Afterwards I cleaned the mess off of the bottom of the trunk, and differential housing so I could better see where the leak was,but it hasn't returned in over a month.I just figured the dealer over-filled it when they worked on it.

Default common

The differential leakage is a common issue with the SC's. What is required is a drain of fluid, pop off the cover and rebead with orange gasket maker.

Gasket maker-$4.00=Permatex red/orange
Good synthetic fluid 2 qts-$7.50
--------------
total cost -under $10.00.
Labor- under 30 minutes

Thanks for the replies everyone,
So, can I get the gasket maker and synthetic fluid at any regular auto store or do I have to get it at the lexus dealer? Also, I'm thinking of doing this myself. Will I need a torque wrench for this?
