Default thinking about buyin sc400

Was at Nissan dealer today looking at maxima's and there was a used black sc400 with 45k ilse selling for $13,500. Started it up and didn't sound but delaer said cause its been sitting for two weeks. Does this car seem a little shady that its such a low price? Oh and how does this car handle in the snow?

Get a mechanic to check it out. Also, get a compression test. Better safe than sorry.

It handles like crap in the snow. You need snow tires.

What year is the car ?? if it is a 92 - 94 even with only 45k on it, To me that is still to much... Now if it was a 95 or 96 that sounds about right... and if its a 97+ then yes its kinda low.. When I was looking about 8 months ago I found a 93 SC300 with 42k on it and the deal was asking almost 18k for it and I got them down to 14 easily... and I was not going to buy the car unless I got them down to about 11 or 12k and that was with them doing some extra work on it... But I would check CARFAX and also take it for a test drive and have a mechanic look at it... Does it have the winter package (heated seats and Trac) if not that would knock a grand or two off.... But 13.5 does seem a little low for a dealers asking price, usually a car with less then 8 or 9k a year on it the dealers tends to think they can get more for it just because it has lower mileage, and if you have a 9 or 10 yr old car with less then 50k they think its golden or something... It can be a good selling point but then again mileage does not affect the price that much, at least not in my book.... But good luck and take your time, if you don't get the car, it was not meant to be and time is on your side, and if you do go to deal with them don't let them force you into something you are not comfortable with. Do your research and go in knowing what you will pay and not pay for the car, and don't be afraid to get up and walk out.. If they want to sell the car bad enough they will deal with you. If not then let them sit on it and I am sure you will be getting a call by the next day about the car

Sorry for the long post
