Nice kit, but it's set up for the SC400 w/ heated seats, and it shows that the wood type
is Oxford Burlwood.?!?? Does not look like it would match my set up or wood type in my SC300

I'm confused by the picture (upper right) of the wood trim around the vent. Does this kit cover the existing wood?

My car is a 92 SC400 and it matches the original wood almost perfectly... peopel actually think the new wood grain looks slightly better than the original!! You will not be dissapointed with this kit, and by the way, I am not an agent of this seller, I seriously like the way their kit looks in my car.

Specify to the buyer if you have an automatic or manual, and all kits come with the 3 wood grommit "button covers" to fill in the holes if you do not have heated seats/traction control. Trust me, it looks excellent.

Oh, and notice how the vents in a stock SC are sourounded by thin black airvent mouldings, these tend to crack over time. Anyways, the kit comes with thin pieces of wood grain that covers even these small black mouldings, I believe you would do it more to cover up the cracks if you have them yet than you would to just cover the plastic, because IMO lexus plastics are of very high quality anyway.

Default Glossy?

These look to be glossy. My wood definitely is not. I am just looking to do something with the shifter, ashtray and cup holder sections, not stereo, vents and A/C.

Is it glossier than the standard SC400 wood?

Now I'm really confused. I went to the site where the installed example comes from. Its www.autoaccessorystore.com in Staten Island and they sell the big kit (16 pieces) for $189+10. They also sell an 8 piece kit (for $139 I think). The ebay seller is in FL and want 199+10. Who's handling whose product.

The SI-based people offer samples of the "wood" for the price of a SASE. I'm going to do that and ask for English burlwood, dark burlwood and Oxford burlwood (the one they show for the SC) just to see if any really match the wood in my car.

I am not quite sold on the fill-in pieces, I think it would look an after-thought . I would perfer a piece that is applicable for the set up w/o the heated seat / traction control buttons. IMO. Aslo do you have any pics, it might influence my descision. Thanks

EmeraldLexuSC3 go to the web page I mention above. It seems you can order the kit customized to your options. At some point I encounter some check block questions about heated seats, TRAC and audio options.

I went back and dug a litte deeper and found that they do make the kit with or without seat /traction buttons and with manual option. And they make a 8-piece kit for $139.00.

Default existing wood ??

Has anyone found a kit that replaces the existing wood along with adding wood to the rest of the areas ??? That is about the only way I would buy a kit, I don't get why these places don't have setups like this so that EVERYTHING would match..... Also these kits are layouts that go over the existing areas like a sticker right ?? Why don't they remake the arena so that it looks better, like on the Benz and Jag where everything on that area is wood and looks the same, not like in the pics posted here when you look at the cup holder(s) you have wood layout then you have the tanish/brown existing area bordering the wood on the edges.. To me it just do not look good, granted it would cost more for a setup like I have listed but it would look 200x better... Its a Lexus... Needs to be PERFECT

Default Auto Accessory Store

Guys Hello,

My name is Igor, I am from autoaccessorystore.com I got here by a tracking over to this forums from the visits we got which was quite well over 20.

I would like to answer all of your questions.

1) The wood oxford burlwood will be a perfect factory match to your wood in any SC300 / SC400. If you are not satisfied with the match we will accept a full refund with restocking fees wavied. We never had a complaint in regards to the wood matching. Please do not worry it being more glossier than your stock wood that will not be visible to the eye.

2) We have 2 kits avaliable one is small one and one is double the size check them at our website.

3) If you dont have heated seats and do not want the plugs. It is no problem we can cover those up since we manufacture these kits.

4) The reason you find the kit being sold on ebay for more money is because 199 - ebay fees = 189 and its 189 on our website.

5) Advertising
Advertising of any kind is prohibited in any posting area of ClubLexus forums. Individuals interested in advertising on ClubLexus should contact us at advertising@clublexus.com. All the advertising threads will either be moved or closed.

Group Buys are allowed, but they must be done in conjunction with a ClubLexus authorized vendor. You can check the authorized vendor list located here.

P.S. Thank you for the kind feedback SC400-V8
