My latest mod...
Well, they would just be pics of my latest mod except I smashed the hell out of my front end over the weekend at the Carson Meet. What a great day that must have been, a $2000 accident two minutes before I arrive in the parking lot of a long awaited meet after a 350 mile trip and three weeks of prep...
Did I mention there will be no insurance involvement?$?$?$?$$$$$

A stupid 18-wheeler was parked on teh shoulder of the Western Ave onramp on the 405 and the Norcal convoy leader, Hermosa was about to pass it. Well the truck starts to move and Hermosa slams his brakes, Xerox slams his brakes, I slam my brakes, everyone slams their brakes. I lost traction and slid into Xerox's green IS300. RMMGS4 barely missed hitting me. I guess the Supra TT brakes are a worthy investment..... The impact was mainly into his exhaust, which I pretty much destroyed (crumpled and pinched in three spots) so the bumper damage wasn't too bad for him. I shattered both high beams, cracked and bent the bumper cover, shattered the impact foam, bent up the reinforcement (front clip), and bent the hood. Luckily my hood still locks, my radiator is still intact and not leaking, the airbags didn't deploy, and my headlights, from what I can see, aren't damaged.
I got some part quotes while at Carson Toyota, and it looks like brand new replacement parts alone will be $1300 + tax. Hopefully I can shortcut by buying used high beams, bumper cover, and reinforcement from TAP Recycling, having the hood bent back and spot painted, and doing as much prep work on the car outside of the bodyshop as possible. Todd Matsubara of TMEngineering was nice enough to calculate the parts+labor rates for me so I have a better idea. I'm looking at around $2000+ depending on my parts sources. Thanks also goes to Chris Yato of TMEngineering for letting me use his expensive masking tape to make the trip back up north . I also appreciate the support I got from others at the meet and after the meet. I know I wasn't the most friendly or outgoing person that day .

If you notice the waterspots on the car and headlights, yes it was raining at the meet and before the accident.

Glad to hear you're okay Rich. Sorry to hear about your stroke of bad luck. Hey, at least you were able to make it to the meet! Some of weren't even able to attend
Looks like it might be time for a 97+ bumper, eh?
How come you're not claiming on your insurance??
Just think what it could have been like w/out the tt brakes
