So I hadn't been on CL for some time and was wondering why I was receiving email on my car. It seems as though Nextlevel has reserected this thread - thanks man, you made me smile today. The car is still going strong as new, and it is so nice that I haven't had a car payment in a few years! I think I have already recovered my investment. I'll be looking forward to seeing your car when you are done. Maybe next time I am in NY we can grab a beer at McSorleys or something.
Nobody believes me when I tell them the car is 10 years old. Part of this is the restoration, but another big reason is the timeless styling. You couldn't make a restoration like this work on many other cars, but with the SC you get both timeless styling AND a bullet-proof mechanical beast. I'm going to leave the office now and drive home in a car that rivals the other luxury cars in the parking lot, but for a fraction of the price. It almost feels like i'm somehow cheating...

I agree this car is immaculate, and is exactly what I'm doing with my car now. I thought I was the only person that wanted to fix everything from the ground up, but came across this thread today, and must give praise where praise is due. Very nice job!

Well crud, I thought I would be the first person doing this, I should have known better. Finally finishing up school and into my field so I had a big debate for three months. Use the 4k I have saved for a down payment or make my SC prestine. Almost sold her, the guy didn't come back so lucky me, and I have just started the march to get mine like that. Mods are the last thing on my list and getting it back to factory showroom is the first step. What a great inspiration to see that car and i wonder how it is 3 years down the road.
