what type of pipe for exhaust?
I'm re-doing my exhaust system for the 3rd time(was not happy with the first 2).
1st one was a single exhaust.
2nd one was dual with no x or H pipes
this time i'm chucking in a H-pipe and making them in sections with flanges.
I've used stainless steel so far....
I was thinking about going with aluminized steel over stainless steel but I have no idea what the differences are... can anyone explain?
also does anyone know any place where I can buy mandrel bent pipe sections for cheap? it sucks paying 20-30bucks per bend.

Stainless steel will pretty much last forever and is almost corrosion proof. aluminized steel is treated to be corrosion resistant and will last a long time depending on conditions, but not forever. Mandrel bending is expensive anywhere you go unless you know somebody. wish I did!

hey, whats mandrel bending?
also, can someone post a diagram of the entire stock exhaust system of an SC300/400 or a pic of a stock system?
because when I get my SC400, im gonna focus most of my mods on the exhaust and I need some info on that.
thanks

VSsc400, do you have the Dynomax Ultraflows? I way always curious how those sounded on the SC.
I also think there is greater potential in the SC400's exhaust note. I want to get some headers before I completely redo my exhaust mandrelly with an x-pipe and performance cats. That would come after the blower, which would come after the wheels and kit, which would come after I rob a bank...

I'm keeping the stock cats for now. I had magnaflows when I had the former dual setup and had the Apexi Dunk N1 when I had single. this time I'm going with dynomax but don't know how they sound since I haven't put it on yet.
with single exhaust car felt alot slower
with dual magnaflows it was just louder
this time with H-pipe and dynomax I hope it will give me the combo I was looking for. I'll keep you posted.

if anyone wants some universal tanabe mufflers for real cheap, let me know. i'm picking up a pair for myself and someone else on this board in about a week. it looks something like this, but it's the muffler only and it has a slant-cut tip instead of flat. it's the hyper medallion series.
