Default Joined the club!

I just joined the club by purchasing an SC400 from 2000!!!

I was previously driving a BMW 335, but when the turbos and HPFP went and the car was in the shop for over a week I decided goodbye BMW... And hello SC400!

I found one locally with 55k miles from the year 2000. It was always serviced at the dealer and it has the Nakamichi audio. It also has a K&N air filter and a Borla exhaust already installed. I guess the next step is non-stock rims. After doing some googling apparently the 2000's are pretty rare so I am pretty stoked to be able to snag one! Anyway check out some pics and a video of the exhaust!

What a great find and acquisition.... If the interior is in good shape you are ahead of the game..... Suggest you spend some extensive time in the Wheels/Fitment sticky when considering wheels and tires (especially if later want to lower the car or do the LS400 brake upgrade)....

Welcome.... Keep the updates and pictures coming...

Beautiful! And great find! One of the rarest SC's out there next to the 97 5-speed.

I'd say LS400 brakes, different wheels and possibly an LSD. It's in great shape!

I believe this car is for sale on eBay right now. I would love to have found this car back then. Looks super clean.

I see it on ebay, too, similar user name, same photos. Hope she finds lasting love with her next owner.

"Hey, ponypal, it's just a car!"

ponypal: "Only to those who don't deserve to own one!"

The plan is wheels/tint and a roof rack later. I am really digging it so far though!

I actually did put it on eBay for a higher price. One of my coworkers is really into the drifting scene and said I should maybe not daily drive this one in a state that gets a lot of snow. So I put it up in case a collector wants to keep it in better shape and I will buy the SC400 in Texas for my DD.

That said I am not going to accept an offer that is worth me wanting to part with the car for.

Yeah, I also believe it is not just a car, especially the year 2000. You will see above I only put it up on eBay because a coworker said give a collector an opportunity to own a garage kept always dealer maintained car before you turn it into a DD that will be going up the mountains to bike and ski.

Once again though, if it does not reach a pretty high price I am not going to sell it. I don't want to part with it, but for the sake of the car and keeping more mint condition examples around it is for sale for a week before I start my driving of the car.

You might well find a buyer. It would be nice to see her preserved. I know a woman who turned down $14.9k for her ultra low mileage 1992 SC400. The one in Texas you're referring to, is it the white 2000 SC400 with 55k for $10,911?

Yeah, It might be a better beater car for my purposes, but we will see what ends up happening.

Good luck with it all. Let us know what happens. When it comes to cars we gotta keep chasing till we find the right one and can settle down, hehe.
