My 1992 SC300 passenger side door lock does not open or lock from either the inside power or outside key. The lock seems to move back and forth fine but the door mechanism does not operate. Any ideas on how to fix it? And while I am in there, the window only goes down 3/4 of the way. Any ideas on how to fix it? They both started around the same time but presumably they are not related problems.

Any help is much appreciated.

Search for threads on lock actuator rod plastic clips breaking. When that happens, the rod tends to get in the way of the window and lowering it will compound your problems, ruining the rod. Fix the clip before you have to destroy the door card to get back there with neither inner or outer handle working!
