Yes it is fiberglass covered with fleece.
This was my first attempt at working with fiberglass. I decided to do this project first in order to develop some basic skills for my next project.

I got this pic of just after install of the reupholstered back seat.
Here's the amp I'm running them with. Rockville 5 channel 3500 watts peak, 150X4@4ohms for the four 6.5" three ways, and 1000x1@2ohms for the dual 4ohm coils in parallel. total of 1600 watts Root Mean Square...
Here's how they look from outside.

That looks pretty nice. The finished pic shows what my one concern was from the first post: reflection. I've driven around with my parcel shelf out and the rearview reflection is awful. Yours looks only mildly annoying. Anything shiny back there gets compounded by the angle of the glass.
I wonder if you could remove the trim rings to help with that, or paint them a flat black?

Yea, there is a reflection, especially in full sunlight. I'm sure after I tint the rear window It will be even worse. These speakers and rings are already a satin black and don't reflect as bas as silver or whatever would. Actually though, I kind of like being able to see the speakers from two angles when looking in my rear view. Besides, there wont be anyone or anything behind me for very long as I'm usually hauling the mail....so to speak...

Looks really nice. I feel like you took your time on getting the sub in there and looking great, but took the easy way out on the amp placement. I would find a less intrusive place for that thing.

Good observation, that's exactly what I did, I just screwed it down temporarily until I get some time to do the actual install...The amp will be mounted on a piece of MDF that I will cut and cover with felt. It will fit vertically on the side of the trunk space, and the amp will be flush mounted into it so you wont see any wires. I just haven't gotten to it yet. Maybe this weekend!
