Default where do i jack up my car when changing my rack bushings

Hey guys this might seem like a dumb question but where should i jack my car up? If i do it from the control arms will it relief some pressure from the rack or would i be ok just doing it from under the door frames? This will be my first time ever even working on a rack so pointers are welcome!

Thank you,

Jack it by the front crossmember or rear pumpkin, then put your jack stands where the pic shows!!
i use a hokey puck in the cup of my jack so I don't tear up my aluminum crossmember!!

When I replaced my steering rack I used 2 small jacks under the front control arms to keep my suspension loaded and stands under the front pinch seams for security. I did the work on a 4post hoist so getting under the car wasn't a problem.

If you are replacing the steering rack bushings only then it doesn't matter where you jack it up, you are only trying to get access right? Just jack it up under the unibody rails and put a jack stand under each side and do the work. It doesn't matter if the control arms are unloaded, you will only be removing the rack, replace the bushings, tighten everything up.
