Has anyone seen a sc painted Austin yellow?

My apology for over reacting, it's your choice to decide.
Getting on to constructive criticism, what color is your SC300 now??? Yellow is just not a good color for this car IMO, its not a Ferrari, a Corvette, its not a shout at me sports car. Granted a bright red does look great on this car, but doing a custom color swap is at least a $4,000 type of job if you want it done right. Probably more if they discover rust, bondo in the metal, previous accident damage, etc. To do it right you need to at least paint the door jambs, sunroof jamb, trunk jamb, and IMO paint the engine bay as well.

It's just an idea, I'm not opposed to keeping it the color it is. But I haven't personally seen it done and I like it when I see a car done different than all the others. But as always it's impossible to please every person. I was also thinking about going a little bit lighter than jade green almost like a emerald but without a lot of flake to it

If you can do it yourself, you minimize the majority of the cost. I say go for it, if you value the uniqueness and want to put in the work.
"It" being whatever color floats your boat, not necessarily the Austin Yellow. When I was looking at possible re-paint colors, I kept coming back to Porsche's Slate Blue as a personal fave. It's much more subdued than what you're going for, but there's value to be had in taking inspiration from other brands.

Nothing wrong with yellow if that's what you want. Who says you can't be bold and different. One thing about doing your own work is you minimize cost and can change it later when you want. My 68 sst Javelin is 77 Corvette yellow with black trim. We called her Bumblebee long before anyone knew what a transformer was!

I think yellow could work well with the right mods to finish the aggressive look. For example, say the Shine body kit, Vertex fenders, Seibon TS2 hood. And perhaps a black pinstripe along the side. Personally I haven't seen the Austin yellow in person, pictures online are hard to judge, but I think it's a bit too green looking and would look weird on the SC. I think Dodge Viper yellow would look best.
Someone mentioned Porsche's slate blue, and I think that would look great too, the LFA slate blue is damn nice too.
Your car sounds like Platinum Metallic, it's a dope color man. Personally my favorite on the SC, you might just want to refresh that color so you can avoid doing engine bay, and inner trims, etc...

Thank you all for the replies I really appreciate it. And if I were to stick with the Austin yellow I'd try to add a little bit of black tint to the clear coat so it would be "smokey Austin yellow"?? Hahaha either way I'm a long way away from my decision. The reason I even thought about doing a full repaint is because I bought a 92 sc300 with 113K original miles, garage kept for its whole life and a week after I bought it I slid out in the rain and cracked a telephone pole on my drivers side door and quarter panel so I have a clip on the car now and I'm touching it up with some bondo. The clip and door were supposed to be completely rust free and dent free. But sadly I got ****ed over and the clip has some rust spots and dents everywhere the door thankfully doesn't have any rust but it has a few dings
