What is that Rectangular Foam Covered Item with the Radio Harness?
1992 Lexus SC400
What is the foam covered 3/4" x 2" box for that is attached to the radio wiring harness for?
I heard it had to do with the hazard lights. My hazard lights do not work and I am thinking the two might be related since I removed the darn thing a couple years back. Now I need to buy one, but I don't even know what they are called, or if it is related.

Thanks SCFactory. That is what I originally thought as well and I think that is why I removed it. I don't know when my hazards quit working either. I know the fuse is good though, I checked it, and replaced it even though it wasn't bad.
It is probably sharing the same problem as my turn indicators are. I turn on the right signal, and my heater/ac blower cuts from full to nothing. Turn it off and the blower returns to normal. No doubt a "roll the dice and replace another item until the problem is fixed" kind of an issue.
If you removed yours and are having no problems, then I can likely assume it is not related to any issues I am having with my car. That is all I really needed to know.
