Default Does carbon fiber clash w/ dark wood grain?

Hey CL simple question for you guys. Do you think that carbon fiber wrapping the middle console will clash with the woodgrain (which I want to keep)? I just don't like the dull black on the cup holder or butterfly cig lighter. Id also do it around the surrounding black console piece. Heres what it looks like right now. its pretty clean but the black pieces are dull and scratchy. Let me know what you think and the best way to carbon wrap if any. thanks!

Seems like it'll be too busy, with competing patterns. I could be mistaken, but don't most people who add CF to the console also wrap the wood trim?

IMO, either or but not as a combo. I wrapped the wood only. Any extra was overkill.

I used a black carper from a donor car, dyed grey mats to black. I used the powder from Walmart & SEM. Search my name, I did a write-up on it a while back.

To those with wrapped wood trim , did you have to remove the wood trim or is it possible to do this on car

All pieces were removed to get the edges to tuck in nicely. You also use a heat gun to help shrink the material, but use cation.

Have to remove pieces to make it look good.....center piece is a major PITA...bolts are so hard to get at....and be prepared for lots of little cuts on your fingers....

Yes; wood + CF will clash.
I wrapped my interior with brushed-aluminum; I love it.
No disassembly required.

Wrap those pieces in gloss black. Like what you'd see on a grand piano. Keep the woodgrain trim. That would be a hot combination IMO. I know what you mean about some of the center console plastics looking scratched up, all those satin black pieces once they get some age/miles on them can look like crap.

Yes it's a matter of a personal preference, I have one with the grain the other is carbon wrap looks good, but I'm going to do it in piano place down the road.
And yes all the wood panels needs removed before you cut and apply cf wrap
