Default Need help identifying something to complete window regulator/motor

Hello all,

When I first bought my 1994 SC400, it lacked a passenger side regulator and motor for the window. It has been sitting for about 2 years, and I am now ready to get it back on the road. Before I do get it back running, I want to do a few cosmetics on it; replacing the cracked door panels and adding the passenger side regulator and motor. Now that I am ready to put in the regulator and motor, I noticed that the pieces to keep the window in place is missing. I need help identifying it, I'm not sure if it's regular screws or not..

Here's a picture of the drivers side:

What are the pieces keeping the window secure?

Here's a picture of the passenger side:

As you can see, it's missing.

Does anyone know what it is that's missing? Is it just regular screws? Do I have to order it or can I go to the hardware store for it?

Thanks for your help.

It's a very flat bolt with wide washer (matching the side you've got) affixed, with just enough of a head to get a 14 mm (from memory) box wrench on it.

Thanks for your help! I have no clue what the owner before my friend (who I bought the sc400 from) did with everything, but it will be nice to have 2 working windows.

I replaced those with just a regular nut + washer combo when I replaced my regulator because those are a PITA to get out of there.

It looks like I'm going to have to do the same. Went up to Ace Hardware to find it or something similar with no luck. The guy there directed me to a parts yard, so I figured I would just buy the bracket piece with the bolt and nut. The guy there thought i was talking about the regulator. Once I got him to realize the part, he pulled it up on the inventory, but he was trying to sell it to me with the window. I told him I don't need a window, just the part, so I guess he was going to sell me just the bracket, because he talked to another guy to look in the back, but it had already been sold

Just as I was typing this, I found an item on eBay with the bracket on a diagram, I called the dealership that was on eBay, he found the part but said it didn't come with the bolt and nut, but he did give me part numbers for both bolt and nut. If it's a pain to deal with, I think I might go the route that you went.

I expected those bolts to be tough to get off, but they actually turned out to be probably the easiest part of the window replacement. I wouldn't let that be a deterrent to using the correct hardware, if you can get a hold of it.

I found both pieces at LexusPartsNow.com. I made a decision to just go with the correct parts, so everything can work smoothly. I'm ready to get it back on the road, it's been 2 years too many without it!

What were the part numbers for these bolts? I'm haivng to drill through the bottoms of each of these to hallow them out and knock them out because the tops are stripped completely and is preventing me from fixing my regulator problem...

Actually, it may not be stripped. It's a square but it's so thin that it's hard to grip. It's about as flat as a penny.

Yeah my 14MM wrench constantly slips off it. I threw in the towel 8 months ago, still only have one working window.

I had the hardest time getting those off when I did it, it was the worst part of the whole installation for me. If I remember correctly I got a bolt the same size just a little bit longer and got a 14mm nut from home depot and it has worked great for over a year. may have used a washer too I don't remember.

The part number for the bolt is 9010906215, and the part number for the nut is 9017906042.

Also, don't forget you're ordering 2 of each.

I ended up ordering those from mylparts.com. They came pretty quick, arriving this morning!
