Noob move.
Hey guys, I was experiencing some boost cut for about a month now and I tried a bunch of different things to try to fix it. I thought it was FUEL cut at first so I replaced the sparks, still nothing. I replaced the wastegate, thinking that the wastegate spring was stuck open. Nothing. Maybe my fuel filter was clogged. Replaced that to no avail. I was at wits end until I noticed that my wastegate wasnt plugged into my boost solenoid. It appears that a $5 hose came loose and I never noticed it.
For reference, I'm tuned at 14psi of boost. I have a 2JZGTE single turbo (BW S366) and when I hit about....8-10psi, the car would lose boost (almost violently) and just cruise along like nothing happend. The car did not stall but it did feel gutless at the lower RPMs.
Can someone tell me what exactly was happening since I did not have the wastegate connected to the solenoid? I'm running an AEM V2 standalone so I assume, it was cutting boost because it was building too much pressure thus preventing me from overboosting?
Am I right? Or was I doing something catastrophically wrong...
PS. I know it was a rookie mistake but it happens to everyone.

Sorry if I wasnt clear. The problem is fixed now that I connected the wastegate.
My question is whether or not having it disconnected caused any probable issues.
