Big freakin intake. Uses the stock airbox with holes drilled in the front of it and a lid on top, to seal air into it.

Since my intake piping had some cracks I picked up that 50$ intake kit from the ebays and threw the cone filter out the window. With the BFI mod and that aluminum pipe the thing sounded like it wanted to throw down, but HP gains.. maybe... You'll think your making more power, but I think its more of a sound thing. Which is way meaner than stock.

New shift ****. I don't know if many other manual SC300 owners will agree with me, but I did not like the feel of the original factory **** at all. I replaced it with the 5spd TRD ****. Made driving the car that much more enjoyable for me

I also have the same preference. The stock shift **** leaves much to be desired.

I never found anything wrong with the stock short ***** **** on the 5 speed. Guess I'm used to it, I can speed shift it with the best of ya.

To what extent did you take your BFI mod? Cause from just cutting holes and closing the lid does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in terms of increasing air intake and loses the needed pressure on the intake due to basic air dynamics. Do people really think they're smarter than the Lexus engineers that spend billions and countless hours designing the SC overlook just a basic intake? To actually have any improvement with the BFI you'd have to route the additional ducting from the new holes to some other vents, otherwise it accomplishes nothing.

From my own experience, I cut a large hole in the front of the oem airbox on my friend's stock 92 SC300 auto. He already had a full 3" single exit straight pipe, but making the hole in the box made the engine noticeably louder and "meaner" you can say. I highly doubt it did anything to actually make the car faster, but more so for the sound.
