Default SC400 Top two Bell Housing Bolts HELP!

In the process of manual swapping my sc400 and it's time to drop the transmission, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting leverage on the top two bell housing bolts. I removed the transmission mount and have the trans supported by a jack so I have more room to work with, but the angle is throwing me off because the 3" snap on extension in using is flexing rather than turning. Anyone have any tips from experience how they got these bolts out? I also have a swivle socket im using with no sucess. Any help is greatly appreciated.

what you do is leave all the bolts in, drop the transmission mount on the rear of the trans and let it hang, it will give you an extra 3 or 4 inches, once you put the new one in, do the reverse
top bolts first them bottom to bottom bolts then top.

Use a long wrench and attach another for leverage.

Do you really need the flex-coupling? My book knowledge tells me a long straight access is made with the trans tipped down. Also watch out on the engine side as that end tips up and intake gets stressed.

Place a jack under the trans and loose the cross member. Let it down slowly and make sure as you lower the trans the radiator hase , intake haose is not under stress. Get a long extension and a 17mm swivel and loose the bolts.

I did what @mikef said and let the transmission hang, but was mindful to make sure nothing on the engine side was kinked, worked like a charm, got them off with ease! Thanks a ton guys, now I can finally focus on changing out my rear main seal and bringing this car to life!

Did you need the swivel?

No, I did not need the swivel after I did what mikef said to do, once you let it hang there's plenty of clearance for a regular socket, The 3 foot extension helped a ton, I found the best way to go about it would be to let the transmission hang, use a big torque wrench you don't care about or a big ratchet with plenty of leverage (I had a $20 torque wrench from harbor freight that didn't work) and pull like mad. I recommend a big ratchet or torque wrench because the adjustment they give you gives you a lot more space when it comes to pulling, also angling is a lot easier.
