Default where to put the jack?

i am going to replace the transmission mount on my 93 sc400.where do i put the block of wood?.
i know not to put it on the transmission pan, where is the safest spot to jack it.thanks in advance guys.
after looking at some pictures looks like i can put the jack and wood on the pan.i guess that its only taking the pressure off the mount it wount hurt the transmission.is this correct?

As long as it isn't a small piece of wood, it's fine. Just use a large board to spread the weight.

Dude,

It's very easy to damage the underside of the SC300/400. Very different than the much lighter MR2 I have. The transmission I recall as being self-explanatory so it shouldn't be difficult to figure it out.

^It is...but keep in mind, when you're replacing the transmission mount, you're not even lifting the entire weight of the transmission, board makes it much safer to do so, however.

Yeah, you're really not lifting much weight. Think of the board as just replicating what the the transmission mount does so the tranny doesn't drop when you remove the mount.
