Default Bad ECU??

I have a few of the typical bad ECU symptoms; white smoke on startup, often idles around 1500+ and unable to get codes from the check engine light. The problem being when I opened up the ECU, I didn't see any leaking/burnt capacitors, everything looks brand new.

Should I still just send my ECU in for a rebuild anyways or should I be looking at other potential problems?

I wasn't able to see any damage on mine, but there was lots there once the capacitors were removed and not obstructing the view. The worst of my damage was down at the bottom of the ECU, where the traces and pin inputs were corroded -- almost impossible to see under the main bracing.

That sounds like the ECU. When mine went out, it didn't through any codes. It idled rough and shot out an insane amount of white smoke.

Send it in. Even if it's not busted these ECU's are a ticking time bomb, and Tanin's prices are very fair.
