Default Sc400 Deleted Cats

Hey guys, I am dropping a 1UZfe in a 1994 Toyota pickup and I need to figure out my exhaust. I don't want to run two cats but I am worried about the check engine light. Is there a way to make this work with no CEL by possibly installing 4 of the o2 sensors?

I have been told of a way to make o2 senors function with out being in cats. Take your cat test tube pipes and install o2 nipples onto pipes, then ahead of 02 sensor mount appx 1/4" cut a slice in tube and install a shield to protect sensor from full force of exhaust gas flow, supposedly this allows 02 sensor to function as if were installed in cat. This of course will require a bit of welding. Tig would be best. It may be worth a try.

I'm about to install these on my 1995 sc400 with no cats. Will report back if I get no cel. From what I've read, the pre-obd2 models (1995 and older) won't throw a check engine light for catalytic converter due to the oxygen sensor but gas mileage may be affected. I'll be able to tell you definitely this week though

Thanks man, it's been a long time coming getting things together. The engine is out of a 93 sc400. I was told that by another guy but he was guessing, the info wasn't solid. I just don't wanna do a complete setup and run into the issue of the light later on.
