Default Potential Purchase of 5 speed sc

What do you guys think? engine most likly spun a bearing.. so i think its rebuildable?

I thought our bottom ends were very strong?

I have to rebuild an engine for school so i figured why not do my own. I've got a turboed 95 sc300 thats auto and is pulling hard... I love it but I'm afraid the auto will break soon on 12 pounds, AND i want a stick all my past cars were stick i just got a good deal on my own owner sc300 a few years ago.
The car is a 93 sc300 5 speed with a knock on the bottom end of motor. runs and drives but knocks apparently not low on power. I think i'll offer 1300 max il pay is 1500 seem like a decent deal? clean good carfax i've already done.

Worst case scenario i'll drop my already turbo'd motor into it. I want to rebuild it and swap the turbo over, and put the auto back to stock and sell it.

so no part outs =P

That's a freakin' steal for a M/T, even if it had no engine. Low mileage, to boot.

Yeah I would totally buy it, it would cost about that much to do a manual swap alone. You can grab spare blocks for nothing at salvage yards.

As I've read, the 2JZ does like to burn oil here and there. And if someone was beating on it low on oil, you'll spin a bearing quickly.

I got it! ill post a build thread on it soon!!! engine sounded perfect at idle!!!! when reving i heard a knock on the bottom i think its rebuildable for sure!
towed it 200 miles with AAA for free stayed the night at a hotel. 285 was closed so my normal 4.5 hour trip took close to 7. Denver to Gunnison. Just towed it to school this morning for free again thank you AAA. Gunnison to Delta.

Paid 1400 but the guy was mad cool bought me lunch and we had a beer while i waited for the tow truck.
Somone else already offered him 1400 the day before i could see it but they wanted to part it out and i had been talking to the guy for a week already before going to see it. He said he saved it for me i believe him.

whats an FS site? for sale?
