Default viper 5706v alarm install

seeing as there is 0 video on how to do this to our cars. I figured I would embark on this endeavor. here is part one.

so I have JUST 2 WIRES LEFT. then I will make my video tomm morn and post it.

-trunk trigger wire- where does this go people.

-tach wire- I have a sc400 and it tells me behind the rear strut tower. but it's not there, any help at all people?

trunk trigger wire i would imagine going to the back , why would tach wire go there?

tach wire is light green going to gauge cluster, see my notes below, C9 or D9 depending on what gauge cluster.

do you have a factory service manual to reference? i imagine you do if you got this far

no factory wiring manual. just going off the alarm diagrams found online. they all say it's in the back?

iam going to tap into my tach wire on the ecu harness.

Lol from the back? That's so weird. It comes from one of the ignitors with an extra wire. It should read "TAC" on it. I thought it was a solid black or black/white wire.

werd, I tapped into the rpm wire on the ecu plug. video is up. PART II

Well this will definitely save me some fumbling around figuring out which wire does what, I'm actually going to be installing a 2 way viper alarm soon so thanks for the video!

I have a similar viper unit on my 96 SC300 and did not need to connect the Tach wire, I just used the virtual tach feature. Works great your unit should also have that virtual feature.

it does have a virtual tach feature. but my idle is weird on warm-up in hot and cold environments so I just wanted it to be wired in.
