Got my two rear bumpers and side skirts today . I would say , this for me is the best kit I have seen for the Lexus SC300 / SC400 considering the design and what it is made of. Then you have the price which is lower than the Shine and Auto Couture Body kits which are both made of some type of fiberglass. Even the OEM 1997 body kit looks flimsy when compared to this poly-urethane kit. They didn't spare anything or cheap out in the amount of materials in building this kit. The thickness of the front / rear bumpers and side skirts would make them really hard to break. As I have mentioned before , you break this kit ... you have a bigger problem to worry about .

Because of the quality , I have decided to install the other body kit on the 1 of 120 1997 SC300 5speed and now , probably the only original 1997 5speed with a 6speed VVTi 2jzgte and that will hopefully be above the +1400rwhp +1000 ft./lbs torque (this is wishful thinking here that is not impossible at all if I get all my ducks in a row) mark with the 3.4l VVTi power plant I am currently working on. I will just keep the original body kit or put it on the Old Man Tan SC just so I know I still have the original kit for the 1 of 120.

I am posting more pictures on my build thread. Again, a big thanks to ATP for making the poly-urethane version of the Auto Couture Body kit and the OP (studiogeek) for without this thread , this probably would have not happened.

The poly-urethane side skirts are one (1) inch lower in profile compared to the 97 side skirts which gives the car an illusion that it is a lot lowered.

I am thinking about getting these side skirts to replace my 97 ones but wondered if they were lower. What about the rear bumper compared to the 97+ rear bumper.

Thanks for posting this!

yes it has a lower profile than the OEM 97 rear bumper

check the review I wrote so you see how the car looks with the side skirts and rear bumper installed. Both makes the car look a lot lowered compared to the stock 97 body kit.

Finally dropped my front bumper off at the body shop today. Prep work and base coat first and then I will drop off the car for a few days to do the fitment and final paint.....

Will post updates and pics (the body shop will hopefully take) and soon will be complete.....

Fiber glass "Speed" knock off....... Not a bad starter but never fit well and many scrapes in front when having to learn the challenges of a lowered car.

Here's my full kit I painted for those who haven't checked my build thread. Fit was better than 95% of the aftermarket stuff I deal with weekly

I finally got around to installing mine over the past couple of days.
It was my first time installing any sort of aero or body panels that weren't OEM, and it was a breeze and fits exceedingly well. I'm looking forward to having a body shop work out the final imperfections (of which there are very few, on the right side above the high beam it's a few millimeters further away then it is on the left side, but you literally have to be licking the bumper to be close enough to see that.).

All in all I am VERY happy with this piece. VERY HAPPY. VERY VERY VERY HAPPY. The only other stuff I've ever bought that fit anywhere near this well straight out of the box was Vertex stuff, and that's like 3-4x the cost that this was.

Let me say it again VERY HAPPY. VERY VERY HAPPY.

Also the instructions in this thread were great, and the most time consuming part was drilling all of the holes for the fog lights and front grill because they weren't marked, but the rest of the holes were very close if not dead on to where they needed to be, I think I had to drill a second hole in the top center of the mount by the hood, and had to widen the outside mounts to get the bumper mounted how I want, but that was really easy and I am VERY HAPPY.

You can adjust the high beams to bring them out more. I had to do that and mine are completely flush. I think mine fit better than the factory bumper.

Yeah man, I was low on funds for a long time. I've been wanting the front bumper ever since you first mentioned it. I just need to figure out what to do with my 97 stuff.

My SC was going to look like that black one but I chose the 97 kit since I didn't want to deal with the fiberglass Auto Couture kit.
