Hey guys, just started running my car again after 6 months and its randomly turned off a few times during the day.

Then coming out from dinner the car wont start unless the headlights are off, you can also hear the fuel pump kicking off when you engage the headlights when the car is off too.

It will start then soon as i turn the lights on the fuel pump.cuts out.

Any idea whats going on here? Obviously electrical but where to start? Fender harness?

Car is only 148k miles and never hsd an issue. Boosted with tt ecu etc

Sounds like a ground problem to me.

I thought the same, just unsure where to start.

Also though possibly the alternator? like the voltage regulator going crazy?

Is the car lowered considerably? If so, you might have rubbed through the fender harness.

I had a very similar problem (headlights on cuts the car off) on my Celica - my negative battery cable had separated from the terminal end so i had no ground at the battery
