SC400 New cluster gauges
So I have a 92 sc400 that needs a new gauge cluster mine don't work most of the time and it doesn't light up. So I have been thinking to change it up with something different since a new one would be around $400 I would like to go digital and use drift gauges something like this would be great.

I really like this one http://customclusterdevelopment.com/...s14ledcluster/
Does anyone know of a company that does this already for are cars??? Let me know what you guys think, I know it would be in the ball park of $800 are so but to me it looks way better then the one I got now lol

Sadly our cars don't have that much aftermarket support, I've tried looking into this before or heck even using another Lexus vehicles cluster. Only one that will come close to working is a Toyota Soarer's cluster, AFAIK that's about it.
If anyone else has some light to shed on this topic, please do.

One option to seriously consider is to send your cluster to Tanin and have it rebuilt.
Everyone that has used them have reported excellent results. I had him rebuild my climate controller as a backup for a Popformance LXCC but have not had to use it as yet.

Yeah I hear a lot about them and I hear good things for sure. But I just want a different look and something that will give a "up dated feeling" to the car you know. And I really like the way the drift gauges look.

howdy iv also been looking around for a replacement for my cluster, for how big and deep the bezel is you should be able to make something fit. re wiring it is a different chore if you down for 2-3 hrs of soldering wires and burning your eyes out on wiring diagrams. id get a piggy back window display or set it up in the bezel and use the old cluster as a mini window if you catch my drift.

It's not a modification to your gauge cluster but if it's just custom gauges you are looking for a Popformance LXCC climate control unit (if you can find one) has a provision for eight different gauge inputs on its LCD screen right where the A/C controls normally appear.
If your cluster is acting up the best thing we recommend is to send it to Tanin Auto Electronix for repair. They also offer some custom color options for the needles and lighting but the design still stays the same.
A Soarer cluster can be installed but it's a lot of custom work to get everything up and running-- not really worth it.

No company has ever made an aftermarket gauge cluster for the SC/Soarer. What pictures you find online are people who made their own.
Easiest way to make your own is to buy a 2nd cluster, then gut it. Make a flat panel that fits inside to mount the gauges. It can be made of metal, plastic or carbon fiber. Once you've got that you can use whatever gauges you want.
Stack cluster, Defi screens with Defi gauges, Autometer, or use an android tablet or ipad. The easiest place to find gauges cheap is Summit Racing or JEGS. They offer a lot of gauges in both analog and digital.
The hard part will be wiring everything up. But, with a wiring diagram, it shouldn't be too hard at all since most of the important wires run to the gauge cluster already
