Repairing door panels
So do lexus sc300/400 soarer door panels suck or what? I noticed many of us have cracked plastic, but my situation is a little worse.
I have a soarer and the cardboard in the door panel is completely rot, plus all the plastic cracked.
Can in be fixed? How would you recommend fixing the plastic (rebuilding and patching cracks) and fixing the cardboard/ reinforcement?

If the fiberboard is rotted, make sure a P.O. didn't remove the plastic moisture barrier that covers the big opening in the door frame. And I suppose that the window weatherstripping isn't completely shot. You don't want new door cards turning to mush again from excessive moisture.

problem is that this is a right hand drive car, the sc300/400 panels wont fit because of the windows switches.
I have another set that the P.O painted black (and looks like ****) but the cardboard is not rotted. Plastics are still broken on that other set and needs to be fixed.
The other set won't match my interior and it doesn't have the wood panelling.
So, I want to attemp to fix these. Fiberglass?

You can unscrew the plastic/fiberboard from the back and put the better fiberboard on the better plastic, preserving the orientation of your RHD switches. I don't see anything other than the switch opening that wouldn't be symmetric. The wood trim is freed from the backside with 8mm nuts and can be swapped over.
