depends on how much effort/upgrades went into your SC.
if its the basic stuff that you know later on you can buy a stock SC and do what was done to this SC.
MAKE THE TRADE. good money move plus when your bored of it you can sell it and make a better project.
(saying that the Subi was cared for & the tune as @maynanator said is MAJOR)
end up with a blown out everything so to speak. (1 by 1 things will break, its bad)
(make sure that he upgraded transmission/shaft etc. & built the car up for that turbo)
hopefully he wasn't one of those guys who slaps a turbo/supercharger in the car and think the stock shaft tranny etc. can handle that power...
Good Luck!

Some cons to note with that WRX:
Headgaskets tend to leak on the outer edge of the head(s)
Bad MPG due to AWD
Working on that engine and drivetrain are a PITA
Bigger turbo = ticking time bomb for anything over 400 lbs tq (max that engine can safely handle and still maintain dependability)
Synchros can't take hard launch abuse and will break
But I will tell you that WRXs are an absolute blast to drive on and off the road. If you can deal with the above cons, then it is a fun car to own. But with the money you've invested into your car already, I'd say keep the SC and turbo it. At 14 psi on an S366, you'll be faster than that rex on his best map (unless he's running a GT3xxx frame turbo), and your engine can take more of a beating for a longer period of time as well.

if you really want a car that every 100k or less the head gaskets leaks in to the coolant. those engines are ok but you will be pulling it out all the time. the awd system fails so keep extra parts handy. also the frame around the side windows leak air. its defiantly not fun working on that engine. other then that its not a bad car, i would like to have one.
