Default What tail lights are these?

Hey guys so I was doing the usual craigslist wandering and saw these tail lights on a 93 sc300 and have no idea what they are but they look sweet. Anyone know what they are?

Altezza style. I think they are OK, but a lot of people consider them ricey.

They might also be OEM Supra tails, which I believe are a direct fit. (I don't know what styling cue differences to look for.) I've seen them on one SC around here, also black, and thought they look much better than their reputation. I do think they work better on black than any other color, though, with the black housing matching the paint. Otherwise, it stands out too much.

They wouldnt be bad if they were exactly like supra tail lights...

The look more ricey with the big back up lights and clear turn signals..

Supra for reference:

You can find them most anywhere if u just google "sc300 aftermarket tail lights"

They are the only style of aftermarket tail-lights for this car, I also think they look kind of ricey, but its your car and whatever makes you happy is really all that matters since you're the one working for the money and not me or anyone else.

They seem to have a better reputation than the aftermarket SC300 headlights as far as build quality goes, but thats not a very high bar to clear.

Good to know. I had seen the reports and pics of people installing the Supra tails, but never with a corresponding mention of having to modify anything to do so.

They aren't the only style of aftermarket tail lights. There is another style that look similar to 95-96 tails and much more OEM looking than those terrible altezza style tails.

It's weird that there's such a price difference among those and other listings. You've gotta figure they're all made by the same company, with just clear and smoked options of the identical design, and drop shipped by various sellers. That G-Mall seller is listed as in Hong Kong, for example, but the shipping location is California.

Oh yeah, I forgot about those. If they didn't have such a massive reverse light in the middle of the red lens it would look decent.

I agree. That big reverse light just looks a little odd. Other than that, they aren't terrible.

95 red/clear tails or stock 97 tails are the best looking ones IMO. everyone likes different stuff though.
