95 sc300 ecu
I bought a 95 SC300 back in October and it has been nothing but trouble. The transmission won't go into overdrive and sometimes the speedo/tach won't function. I am fairly certain that it's the ECU (I could give more details to the problems if requested. Also I already replaced it once with a 95 Supra ECU off the forums to no avail). My question is: where can I get a refurbished one that is guaranteed to work or at least has a warrantee? Without costing an arm and a leg. Thanks!

Darryl has a good reputation and I used him to rebuild my spare. (send in the original one, of course). There is no guarantee that the rebuilt ECU will fix all of your woes but it will likely reduce the ghosts your are chasing.

No Overdrive in 95' SC300
I was driving to work last week and about 4-5 minutes into my ride as my car got up to temperature, the RPM's spiked and did not shift into overdrive.
I tried turning off O/D and turning it back on to have the transmission shift but it never worked. Everyday since the same thing happens. The car will drive normally for 4-5 minutes and then kick into O/D without the dash light come on.
Anyone else have this issue? Could it be a temp sensor? I've read some threads and saw that it is probably an ECU issue with the capacitors leaking/failing. I have contacted Tanin (www.taninautoelectronix.com ) and will be sending them the ECU unless something else is recommended.
Thank you in advance.

Not sure if this was resolved but it looks like www.taninautoelectronix.com will repair your ECU so you don't need to buy a new one. He'll also give you diagnostics if you ask for them and you can go from there.
