Lightbulb Sloshing sound from gas tank on start-up

I've noticed a sloshing noise coming from the gas tank or trunk area on start-ups in the morning. It goes away after a short while, but it's never happened before. The noise doesn't change if I rev the motor, if that helps in the diagnosis.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Thanks...

The fuel pump is in the tank. Fill the tank and see if you can hear the noise the next morning. The fuel will deaden the noise from the pump. If it's noisy again when the tank gets low, you may need to replace the fuel pump...

Is it hard to change the fuel pump?

heyma.....remove the back seat and there is an access hole to the gas tank. the fuel pump will be right behind the access hole.

Mine started doing the exact same thing a few days ago, sort of a bubbling noise coming from the fuel tank.
My check engine light and trac off light also came on last night after a fast takeoff.

the pump is behind that access panel, *inside the fuel tank* - so you are dealing with flammable vapors, if you decide to do the work yourself, BE SAFE - -

Default Fuel pump noise

The fuel pump on my 93 SC400 has made that noise on startup for years, goes away once the car is in motion, still runs like a champ. I would not worry about it.

I started hearing mine right after I pulled of that metal panel behind the seats, so maybe it did it all the time but i just couldn't hear it. Maybe the track/check engine came on in my car because when i was floorng it I flipped the ect over to power mode?

Thumbs up

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I'll just keep driving the car for now and if the pump gives up, I'll know how to change it.

Thanks again.
