Default From SC400 to Piper PA23

Hello Folks,

A while back I was working on a swap that you may have seen before. Basically a built 2UZFE TT with pauter rods,
Ross Pistons, after market cams, engine brace etc.., mated with a V161 and Supra rear end:

As mentioned, got an engine fully built and configured for a TT application,
got Motec in Australia to spool up a loom for it. The loom is mil spec and complete
with all the sensors, actuators, and thermal couplers measuring heat from the
exhaust. To be pushed with a Motec M800.

I even have a flywheel (built custom by Fidenza). And RPS clutch.

Missing:

Clutch pedal kit, Intercooler, various piping, Motec M800 ECU.

Since then I got my pilot license and moved onto bigger and better things:

I love that car (Silver on Black) mint condition. Had it since 2001, and the
thing does not want to die! The only thing I did not like about it was NAK,
but I since got use to no music in the car...

Any ideas?

Nick from Toronto.

I still have everything at my brother's mechanic shop:

- Built Engine 8:1 Compression
- Twin Turbo Kit (headers, up/down/mid pipes, turbos, wastegate)
- V161 and Complete 2JZGTE rear end
- Splayed TT engine harness for SC400 Chasis, and 2UZFE Engine (Done by Motec)
- Fidenza custom flywheel and RPS Clutch

Missing:

Motec ECU
Clutch Pedal Kit
Driveshaft
Tubing and turbo feed lines
Fuel pumps, lines, injhectors.....
Most important, the will to complete the build

I have since lost the will to finish the project as I don't really have the need for speed any more.

Can a moderator please contact me via PM.

Kind Regards,

Nick from Toronto.

Hello Everyone,

I've been getting a lot of emails regarding this. Sorry for the delay.
Just wanted to say that the Transmission and rear end sold.

Left is the built engine and Motec engine harness.

Not a big fan of 1UZ because of the costs involved in making the power I want but let's talk .

Sending you a PM ... give me a deal I can't refuse after I have known the details of that engine and the car and you never know !

I will be willing to take a flight to Toronto to check things out and make a deal then send them through UPS or Fedex Freight .

Being a moderator here , I am duty bound to tell what I know about this engine so no member would have any problem . Did a lot of research last night since I got interested with it . Seeing a twin turbo UZ was my first love in an SC till I came to know the realities of building one. Last night , got hold of the original owner of this engine. I guess it had pass hands a couple of times.

This engine had been sitting for the past 7 years . It was spec'ed by Eric Lemoine who has been banned by a lot of car forums. He sold a supra with basically same engine and that engine had to be totally be redone from scratch by Sound Performance. In fact on the original ad on supraforums this engine was deemed worthless and was just an add on to whoever will buy the turbo setup.

The ad on Kijiji says Aftermarket for some parts in which they were suppose to be from TTC Performance . I guess the TTC name had been omitted since the company went out of business and had basically a bad reputation before it went out of business.

So whoever is interested on that engine , I would suggest to do a good research so you know exactly what you are going into.

Sorry Rollexus .. I had to say this here. As you told me on the phone , you had no knowledge about it . I am sorry if you didn't know about it and I was the bearer of bad news,

Hello,

Thanks all for your support. The engine has never been started. Is it possible to salvage the good parts? Ie. pistons, rods... Maybe even just scrap the heads and put factory ones on?

possible ... only one who knows what he is doing can determine what is usable and not as soon as it is taken apart.

seeing that engine with twins just refreshed all that year long work of research I did trying to have a twin turbo UZ till I gave up due to a lot of factors

What kind of things made you turn away from a turbo 1uz? Asking out of curiosity...

Turbo 1uz is very attractive cool and all that, but when compared to let's say 2jz nat and gte when it comes to building power for dollar spent total parts and labor, 2j wins in both aspects not to mention engine room and ease of access to most sensors and parts in the engine bay, and lost list goes on....
Ive done plenty of searching never ending knowledge

Gerrb knows his stuff and looks out for members like he is right now!!!!
Thank you!!!
