Default Pics of Carpet Before (NASTY) & After

Took carpet out of the 92 sc300 that I had bought awhile back. I knew it was going to be nasty but didn't know it was going to be that bad. It took ten dollars of quarters at the car wash using the high pressure hose to just get all of the mud and nasty crap out of it. Then the second shot is after the first can of SEM. I bought a second can today and hope to get it sprayed on in the next few days.

Whoever had it before was nasty.

After spraying a can of SEM and pressure washing. Needs one more can.

Wow, that's pretty nasty. There was one time I purchased an Explorer and it was filthy dirty. Stuff and junk piled to the roof, and a dead carcass of a bird underneath the passengers seat! Explorer owners be explorer owners! What SEM did you use?

I had the same problem with my 1993 GS300. The previous owner was disgusting. I took the carpet out and pressure washed it and did some good scrubbing. The results are amazing.

With the SEM you have to make sure you get a brush and brush real good between coats.

Be sure before you start you go and buy the cans. Our town has tons of autopart and paint stores but only one carries SEM and they usually only have one can of each color and it takes a few days to get it in. My advice is take a piece of your interior that is the color you want and match it up and see if they have enough cans. Also its not cheap, here its $16 a can.

you make it out to look like it's a crime. some people are pigs, but take care of their cars mechanically better than themselves hygienically. so if buying a car solely on the cleanliness of an interior is your thing, go right ahead.

It was my 2nd vehicle, I was 16, it was 600 bucks and it was something I could afford, drove it home on 3 cylinders. Had it for a month or 2, made almost 1k on it. All it needed was interior parts and spark plugs and wires.

Upon cleaning it out I got about 12 bucks in change, a free cell phone, too many hats and shirts to list! Trans had been rebuilt though.
