Manny, i'm wayyy past #6 already I guess, trying to build the complete package, but since these guys are on installs right now, I'll show mine since everyone else showed theirs, don't remember exact prices but I ballparked it...
- Alpine CVA-1006 6.5" mobile multimedia station $1100
- Alpine RUE-4165 remote $50
- Alpine DVA-5205 DVD/Video CD/ CD player $800
- Alpine VPE-V180A mobile VHS video cassette recorder $400
- Alpine CHA-1214 12-disc CD changer $400
- Alpine PXA-H510 multichannel digital signal processor with Dolby Pro Logic and Dolby 5.1 digital decoder, digital time correction, and digital parametric EQ $800
- Alpine SBS-0715 center channel speaker system $200
- Alpine SPR-176A Type R 6.75" aluminum cone component speaker system for doors $350
- Alpine SPR-176A Type R 6.75" aluminum cone component speaker system for rear deck $350
- Rockford Fosgate Punch 225.2 2-channel amplifier, tested 577 watts bridged $500
- Rockford Fosgate Punch g800a4 4-channel amplifier, tested 1002 amps bridged $800
- Rockford Fosgate Connecting Punch throughout (RP1728 4AWG kit, RP1620 8AWG kit, RP7050 fuseblock, RP7085 distr block, 3 sets RP4380-500 twisted pair interconnects) $500
- Amp rack, sub enclosure, subs $???
That's $6250 so far without the amp rack, subs, and enclosure, and it's not fun trying to fit 6 3/4" spkrs in there , then add the rims and body kit and i'm around fifteen grand already, add at least another fifteen to turbocharge it soon and add some instrumentation, plus security system, Quantum tint (best mod I ever did), real Walnut Burl garnish kit, 100% wood shifter, JDM emblems, and a million other unique little things, plus the purchase price of a '99, and I coulda had a Viper GTS with some cash left over for bolt-ons. That being said, i'll take the Lex coupe over it anyday ....
Best as I can tell, the top 5 of the CL SC budget mountain goes like this:
- 'Ebanks'
- 'sc300tt'
- 'SC300TURBO'
- 'VeilsideRSPsc'
- 'T51R'

I guess you were flying under the radar, i'd like to hear about your setup Mr. Fan, who built your trans? I'm assuming you machined off the bellhousing or made an adapter plate, etc, but seems like overkill for Stage 1, you must have bigger plans, SP66 is fairly large, so what are your goals with it?

Corey Mcdonald from MO will be coming out with a bolt up th400 kit soon for sc300s.... I'm going to be using this kit . My goal is to hit 10s with this setup. I like to race and that is the reason I chose the th400 trans. While the toyota tranny can be built up... I think the th400 will be much better as a reliable unit with cheap rebuilds.

Heheheh...you know out of all of the different "groups" here on ClubLexus, the SC guys are THE most hardcore in terms of mods....I'm hoping to join the "booster club" too but I need to locate a couple of parts first...shhh....
And I can honestly say that after owning both a SC and GS, I realy like how the SC drives...I can't wait to get all my suspension mods to see how well it does on the track...the coilovers alone made a HUGE difference...even with the SC at "stock" height....
I need to get some light 18's or even 17's for track use but I'm still going to try it out on 20's just for the hell of it!

this is exactly what burns me. if I had known that there was such thing as club lexus thust I would have found out that you can turbo an SC300 i would never had bought an SC400 and for the same money I've spent on my sc400 I could already have had a turbo sc300..... ARGGHDDHD!#*()#$!!!

BTW, I did test it on my NA sc300 at idle, and it read 14.58 once the O2 sensor reached temperature.
