Default Non-Lexus Gauge Cluster Needles

Has anyone attempted installing gauge cluster needles from other cars to ours? I can't imagine there's a lot that would be different other than the mounting points to the motors.

I ask because it's pretty hard to get ahold of OEM needles, and it's relatively easy to get new replacements for a lot of domestics.

the biggest problem will be weight. the motors are extremely sensitive to weight and different needles will be weighted differently so you'll have to adjust that which is tedious and annoying.

I've only taken gauge needles off of two cars, but that small sample size indicates no two mounting methods are alike. You'd probably have to swap out the motors as well as the needles, then figure out how to make them communicate with the SC's system.
