Hey i have a 95 sc400 and i need to put the stock steering wheel and airbag back in. the only problem is, im confused as to the proper method of reinstalling the airbag. im selling this to a family member so i need the airbag to work properly in the event of an accident.

I'm confused as to what you're confused by... Attach the ground wire, plug in the airbag, and tighten down the two Torx screws on either side of the steering wheel. Did you modify stuff in taking it out that needs to be replicated?

Oh, two other bits, disconnect the battery so: 1) you don't get a rude awakening when plugging in the airbag, and 2) the horn doesn't go off repeatedly when screwing it in place.

I have a question semi-related.

How many different airbags are there going across our model years from 92-00?

I recently got my hands on a JDM steering wheel cover with the Griffin emblem and I bought a steering wheel from a member on this forum. I drive a 92, and assumed that all of the 4 spoke steering wheels would be the same setup, however the Airbag cover I bought, and the one connected to the steering while that I bought are completely different. I think the one I bought came off a 95, but I'm not exactly sure.

Is anyone familiar with the JDM airbag cover aand which steering wheel I'd have to buy to have the airbag match the airbag cover. I want to have everything I need before I take off my current steering wheel and try to install the new one just to get the airbag cover.

I'm confused as to what to do with the ring in the middle. It says "3 turns from the left", whatever that means.

The only ring I can think of is the clock spring, but that auto centers itself as far as I know.
