Default So I put a 1j into my daily sc400...

Along with an engine hoist.

And now it's in my Cressida with a 2jzge vvti head

Only in there for mock up right now but will be using a ge head gasket, vvti 1j bottom end, and e85 on a small turbo most likely s259. When it runs, the engine is coming out of the sc and going in an early 90s 2wd Toyota pick up truck.

I'm just fascinated to learn that a JZ short block will actually fit neatly in the passenger side of an SC with the seat removed. What do they weigh at that point? 300lbs or so?

Nice, if its a 4 cyl 22re truck you can drop in a JZ with those cressida mx73 mounts.
I was going to use these on mine cause they are slotted and would likely even work with the v6 pickups, good luck with the project.

Holy crap are you serious? Because they make 1uz mounts too, which means in theory you could drop that right in with the xcessive stuff! Sweet!

Totally, well only the toyota guys will follow this one, so here goes.

A toyota 22re truck will accept a 7mgte with 5M motor mount brackets (from a mx73 cressida) and the stock motor mounts (22re rubber ones).
So anything that fits in a stock location in a mx73 cressida... you got it will drop into a toyota pickup with the 22r/22re mounts. you just have to choose the right oil pan, if you are 2wd or IFS 4x4, then you go front sump.
Solid axle 4x4 you go rear sump.

Yes they make 1uz brackets as well and they will actually say on there the slotting fits both v6 and 22r locations in the trucks, for the JZ they do not say the fit the truck but it does, its been confirmed online by a couple guys, so I figure the JZ might also fit the v6 having similar slots but I know it fits where the 4 cyl does. The slotting is a great feature for dialing in your custom setup, also not there are 2 versions of cressida mounts you want the mx73 one I believe, the one that came with a 5M. The later ones are different.

The most annoying part of it will be the radiator. good luck keep us posted.
