Default klunk when letting off gas

great, more problems I tried searching, came with a bunch of things but nothing that seamed to fit my problem.

I was driving around with stereo off listening to my engine today and noticed there is a clunk noise when I let off the gas.
I can feel it just a tiny bit and have never noticed it before.

I doesn't normally happen at slow speeds, but when im going about 35mph+ and I suddenly let off the gas I hear a the clunk noise. Im not sure exactly where it is coming from but it sounds like its under the car (I could be wrong).

When searching I saw someone had that problem when they hit their brakes, but happens to me when just letting off the gas.

I have a weak transmission mount that is going to be fixed soon. It causes the car to shake a small amount while pushing on the gas. Could the weak mount be the problem?

I have a 98 SC400 with 98k, btw.

Thanks!
Will

Could be the trans.mount but also have them check your U Joints.

I agree w/ RTLEXSC: Trans mounts- At least have them looked at.

I would agree with the other guys Transmission mounts and also the engine mounts. I had that same issue along with when i reverse i would here a clunk. I took it to Toyota and they jacked it up. I had to worn out Trans mounts and one engine mount. They fixed that and no more clunk. And now the car runs even smoother and picks up faster. Might also want a transmission fluch or at least fluid change just to be safe. But the mounts are the things to look at also might want to look atthe lower control arm just for good measure

Thanks for the replies. Also found out it happens when I hit the gas so i'm guessing thats it. Car goes in on friday so hopefully this will fix it.
