Default Torque Converter 3800 stall speed

Hello all and happy holidays!.
Here's the situation, I want to daily-drive my built automatic 97 sc300 single turbo 2jzgte but the 3800 speed stall converter makes it impractical, can I just install a stock converter back on it, loose
a little speed, gain some mpg's and call it a day or is the stock converter going to quit on me after a couple of 600-whp passes?...Thanks for your help everybody!
