Default SC Update

I've finally made some changes to the SC, since around this time - last year; so I thought I'd post some pics. I got some 18" 350Z touring wheels (staggered), w/ new tires, and black lug nuts. I also got the chance to paint my brake calipers (LS400's); and they've held up nicely to the weather out here in PA. It snowed the following day, after I painted 'em ...
I chose gold 'cus I thought it would compliment the coilovers peekin' out from behind the wheel; they're the v1 TEIN: Comfort Sports.

Lemme know what ya think ...

Having adjusted the ride height again, since mounting 18's (I was on the '95 OEM 16's), the cars still lower than normal cars, but it's not low enough to me. I used to scrape, haha. I kinda miss that. I tried driving over spots/roads which I used to always make contact upon, but nope ...
I dunno; Im givin' this new stance a chance, haha; seein' if It'll grow on me. If not, I may roll the fenders then.

This is the paint I used on the calipers. It's damn-near the Brembo gold if you ask me ...
They didn't have any actual "caliper paint" in that color; I checked Pep-Boys, Auto-Zone, and Advanced Auto; all of whom had Red, and Yellow (... Who does Yellow?). It's a 650 degree engine enamel, whereas the VHT caliper paint is good to 900 degrees. I haven't done any hard braking lately, or any aggressive driving, but so far so good.
They held up to the weather, and the pressure washer ...
Anyway, I cleaned off the calipers (twice-around) with Brake Cleaner; wiped 'em down; then did 2 coats of Gold (lighter on the first coat; a lil' heavier on the second) with 10min to dry in between coats.
Afterward, I did the same with Clear-Coat.

Looks good man, I like the matching caliper/teins color. The stance sits nice.

Love the 06+ Z wheels.

I almost felt like I was on MY350Z looking at a stock black Z with the Gold OEM Brembos and 18" wheels. Very neat and clean effect.

I like the rim look for the money. The stance is darn near perfect to me, but I don't like grinding on everything in the road either. Whats your plans the next go around? I know there has to be more.

OEM Spoiler still ... Though I assume you guys were kidding, haha.

Negative on the wheel-spacers.
I had them in the front, with the '95 OEM wheels, but didn't need them with these.

Next mods:

- Gated-Shifter
- TEIN: EDFC-Active

... and later on waaay down the road, I'd like to get my hands on the steering-rack from an Active Soarer, and see if I can install 4WS (4 Wheel Steering).

After that (or first, whichever comes cheaper), I want a mechanical spoiler that rises at velocity.
Im thinking of retrofitting/fabricating the mechanism from a 3000GT VR-4, and hopefully I can still use the OEM spoiler. If it doesn't work, I've been looking at the Aeromotions Wing, only I don't want a "wing" on my car; I think it's just too much, but eh, we'll see. I mean, I could always use "another" wing, utilizing that same mechanical-system. The thing I like most about it (Aeromotions version), is that it doesn't just rise-up, but also flips-forward serving as an air-brake. I think that's sweet.
