Gold vs. Silver Badges
I recently bought a Pearl White '96 SC4 and it came with the Gold Badges.
Does anyone own a Pearl White with Silver Badges that can post a pic here? I am really thinking of getting a set of silver badges as I think it looks cooler. I still have not figured out what to do about the center caps on my wheels that also have gold badges.
Last question, Are the badges easy to take off?
Love opinions.

Brad,
The badges do look better in chrome. There are several pics here. Most recently acleansc4 posted pics of his taillights where you can clearly see the emblems.
They ARE difficult to remove because they have several points where the emblems are secured to the metal.

There was a member here that swapped the Gold badges for Silver on a red SC if i recall. IT looked much better. the Silver badges are very classy looking on a white SC. I have them on my car.
I also used to have Chrome rims with a gold "L" in the middle of the center cap. It looked fine. It didnt stand out or make anything look akward.
My suggestion: Change to the silver badges, they look better. Dont worry about the Gold L on the rims, itll look fine. If it really bothers you that much you can always buy a new set.

SWEET! Yes, totally better than my PIMP-ster gold!
So I have to change them out.
I assume that you car has the matching silver logos on the center caps of your wheels? Do you know where I can get those center caps in silver? I am talking about stock '96 wheels.
Lastly, Where can I get one of those Club Lexus decals?
Many thanks,
Brad

I have aftermarket wheels on there so Im not sure where you can get the chrome L's for the wheels.
As for the sticker there used to be a thread set up by Static911, one of the moderator's I think and you send him your name and address and he would mail them out. You may want to try PM'ing him.

Gold is coming back
All this bling bling platinum stuff is starting to fade.
Even the hip hop stars who changed things from gold to platinum are going back to gold.
I'm assuming the motor trends will follow.

I have gold embles on the body but not on the wheel caps. I can't stand the gold. I have to get rid of them one day.

I have a set of chrome "L" wheel caps (only the "L" is chromed), that I would be willing to swap with you. I only use the stock wheels for snow tires, so I don't care what caps are on them. You pay the shipping and send me yours and you can have 'em. I can't help you with the emblems though

classy is subjective
The trend will dictate what looks classy.
People didn't think anything of platinum till main stream celebrities adopted it..and if history is an indication..the same will happen again.
People can claim their independent tastes as much as they want but in the end, we end up following the trend anyway.
Cars are all about trend. U can't get around that.
Also...if gold starts coming back into mainstream culture again..it will again BE classy to have gold emblems
