I love this idea, but I still can't shake the thought of waking up in the middle of the night to take a trip to the fridge and stubbing my toe on that table. YOWCH!!!!

thats awesome how you can just fit the rods on top using the head bolts. aluminum block ftw.

Been wondering where you've been!? Hows that 3UZ treatin' ya?

I've always wanted to have one of these tables, never occurred to me to make one out of an old 1UZ block. Cant wait to see what it looks like finished!

Final Pics! I love it.
Norwood Chrome Powder coat. FYI. If you buy some for a project. Don't buy the clear coat they recommend. The chrome is way better by it self. Especially if it is not gonna see a lot of the elements!

Assembled without the glass.

Outstanding! Way to extend the legacy of the venerable vvt-I!

That' project has been on my list since I saw Clarkson do something similar with the V8 out of a Porsche 928. Just have to convince the other half it'll fit the decor, or relocate it to the future man cave.
