Should i trade my mint sc400 for a fair condition 300
Ok guys I have a mint 400 bu I really want a 5 spd 300 manual. Had a guy offer me his 300. The seats are ripped and the back panel needs to be replaced an it has a cheap paint job. I'm goin to look at trading tomorrow I'm super skeptical though. Mine has 210k his has 190. It's an original 5 spd it's a 1993. Looking to get some input from you guys. Mine is the white one with perfect interior.

My goal is to do a gte swap once I graduate college so I will be slowly fixing the 300 up. I will probably do a leather cover. I just don't want to get pooped on.

you can gte swap the 400. I doubt you would want to be running the w58 with a gte motor. Just keep your car and put some more aggressive wheels on it. Or at least space these out. Plus, your 400 is much faster then the 300 stock.
Or you can go a different route and manual swap the 400. lots of people have been doing this lately, and they love it.

Minimum you would want is an R154. I would just keep your 400.

Are you crazy? There is no way I would swap. His seats arent even leather, they are vinyl that looks like leather. At least from the interior pictures. There is no way i would swap. There might be other issues with his car you dont know about. It seems like you know alot about yours, due to the mods that are on it. I would do a swap when you have enough funds, even for the manual. Thats what I did. Figure a price for the swap, then double it, due to unforseen circumstances. GL on your choice.

The major deterrent is the seats. I'm going to drive his and let him drive mine so I can get a feel for the 2jz. I just love how sexy my interior is, not to sound conceited its the nicest car I have ever had.

i say keep the v8! and as what 1jz said, you already know your car and what needs to be done. I could easily get rid of my car but i already know almost everything that needs to get done on mine, and frankly i like my car in general. Just wish i have the funds to get it all cleaned up quicker. if you want 5 speed might as well use a ka24 transmission if they say w58's blow anyways. KA24's can be found stupid cheap if not free. make friends with the drift guys and youll have plenty of transmissions to pick from xD
