Anyone catch this Red Bull advert of an MKIV and Soarer drifting in China?
I caught the Supra upon first glance but it took me a few more shots to realize the second drift car was a 1JZ Soarer. Nice to see the car still showing up in major spots like this one. Lots of trick aerial photography and some excellent camerawork on the cars. I'd love to know what folks the production hired for this. The music is the usual overdone action-film fare but the shots (and driving) are top notch.

I'm not sure these cars are in any way what they started out as, more representative of a built race car with the display of them being based on their respective original counterparts (in other words people who don't know anything about them might expect too much) however it's certainly a good way to represent the Soarer/SC regardless!

^^ Absolutely, O.L.T. Both cars are heavily modified for track use and I don't expect stock bodied Soarer 2.5GT's or Supra RZ/TT's to hold a candle to them. Definitely great to watch though-- and to drive if you've got the talent for it. I just love that the cars we have CAN do this much with enough investment and that many people actually do modify them as such.
