Two more old favorites. Learned to drive a stick on a lime yellow 240Z as a kid. The same uncle got a 635Csi later on and used to loan it to me in high school occasionally. Love those two forever (and that uncle).
MAYBE!
A nicely done, black on black 99 CLK drop top. Ever so slightly VIP'd.

I currently own a 97 M3 and a 97 SC300. Also have had AP1 S2k x 2.
I would only trade my SC300 for a SC400. I don't pay for gas, and it's just my daily. i think it's perfect I just wish I had the power to get on highway like in my SC400. But hell this car has been treating me pretty good, so I'm not going to complain.

If the question is assuming a near-relative value trade for my SC (which is debatable from many threads) between years 1985-2000:
1999 Mustang SVT Cobra 5-speed (320hp DOHC 4.6L, IRS rear)
Late 90's BMW M5 w/manual
1989-1999 BMW 850CSi V12 6-speed manual
92-94 Audi S4 (2.2L turbo inline-5 AWD) 5-speed
1993-95 RX-7 5-speed (near stock with better apex seals, M2 intercooler and other reliability mods)
1987 Buick Grand National or Regal T-Type
Beyond those, there isn't much in the same used price range.
As posted above, one of the few true legal Motorex R33 Skyline GT-R's. Also, a 1989 R32 GT-R since those are now DOT and EPA exempt for importation according to the 25-year rule.

I figured this is what you meant but if the trade value of the SC is as shrewdly harsh and realistic as possible...?
Then my answer is no other car. I've looked and there isn't another reliable high-mileage 2+2 RWD as good as the SC for the same general value. Not if the years are limited to 1985-2000. There are plenty of interesting and fun cars in those years, however. Just very few that have the SC's basic criteria or used values (with well cared for and tastefully modified examples-- not trashed SC values).
