Default new member, bought a lexus last week

thought I would say hi as I am sure I will be on here quite a bit now. just picked up a 95 sc300, black/black 5 speed with 140k on the clock. started to clean it up a little, going to give it a full detail, didnt know it was single stage paint still I started cleaning it up! anyways, i like pictures and I'm sure you do too, so here are a few.

needs this and that, cd changer doesnt work, radio sounds like crap, trunk doesnt stay up, but driving it is Ive wanted one of these all my life. growing up as a 90s kid I thought they were the coolest thing, im pumped to finally have one.

cost me just under $4k. mods will likely be wheels and audio. performance seems good for now and love the styling so nothing but wheels for that.

there are a couple of things ive ordered though: silverstar ultra headlights, silverstar fogs, silverstar city lights, and new long life bulbs all around to fix some burn out ones. ordered a new brake boot, shift boot, and shift ****.

Keep it forever dude, it's a classic dream car, and you'll probably never see another.

Wow clean interior. I too had the same feeling you did when I was younger and saw this car. I told myself i'm going to get that car one day. Nice find and welcome to the club.

Ehh kinda, it's more that they are just desired by the type of people who like cars with black interior and there are not exactly boatloads out there. Lexus much preferred the tan interior in production so they made ten times as many. Many dye theirs black, this one just happens to already be black so it's a bonus. I can't stand black interiors myself. They look nice only when you have just finished vacuuming them and are hot as hell in most climates. Not worth the trouble IMO, but yes they are desired by people who completely ignore the downside.

haha ok, yeah Ive burnt my legs a couple times already I feel like tan would show dirt a lot more though so I'm cool with it. has a few tears and the leather was really hard when I got it, ive conditioned it and its softened up but I need to condition it again. AC blows ice cold which is a big plus for me since my last 2 cars had broken AC's
