Default dash removal help

I Have been following the diy for this and I can't seem to figure what to do after dropping the steering column. I removed the 2 nuts inside the cluster section and harness is no longer connected. Then the guide says to do work behind the dash? There must be more because this thing is not easily seperating. Anybody got any ideads? Will take pics soon if i need to.

Look in the DIY thread created right above your current thread.

So I have removed the nuts and bolts as the service manual says and should be able to remove the pad at this point but its not coming out easily. I don't see anything that I might have missed that may be keeping this thing in? Im afraid if I use force im going to break something.

If I remember it right , some of the dash wiring harnesses are secured on that dashboard if it was never taken out before.. take out those clips / ties that hold the harness to the dashboard which prevents you from pulling the dashboard.

I believe I have all of the wires removed from the dash. I manged to pry up on it and it seems looser but still not quite there. I realized that the service manual section I posted does not have the passenger airbag. Is this because its meant for an older SC? I don't know if there are any changes when removing a 97 dash.

Finally figured this out. Ashamed to say that the answer was right in front of my face but w/e. Turns out if you are trying to remove the later years dashboards with a passenger airbag, you have to remove 3 gold bolts that hold the airbag in!
