hy, i ordered in the spring a W58 kit w/o flywheel. the ships one month later, after 1-2 mails of request and shipped then express ( 3 days in europe) the parts all ok. but, fast is this shop not

That sucks about QA. I bought a R154 swap kit from another guy who got it from QA. So, I didn't have to deal with them directly. I will say that the kit worked great, The tranny is bolted on and as soon as I get a drive shaft I will take her for a test drive. It seems that everything went together flawlessly though.

Just test fitting stuff need to change out ends for the lines and need to trim down the retainer any suggestion on the best way on doing that kinda have an idea but anybody who's done it

When I did it on my R154, first I did a test fit of the adapter plate. I marked the bearing slide with a sharpie just under the face of the adapter plate. I then removed the front bearing retainer and put a hose clamp on where I marked it. I put the hose clamp as square as I could and used a hack saw, the hose clamp acted as a guide for the hack saw.

I will also add, when I ordered my W58 kit from QA a while ago it took months for me to receive my order. I now order my 1UZ stuff from 1uzfeswapkit.com. He has a great product line.

Thanks CHAMBERS i had a horrible experience with quantum after i disputed the charge with my credit card i get an email saying just shipped what a scam lol.

1uzfeswap.com is the way to go great service and answers all you questions you may have quick replies to emails.

Things I've done so far
96 sc400 w58 swap checklist
Rebuild w58 w new bearings n synchros
New tranny mount
1uzfeswapkit
Removed tranny from car
Removed tranny plug from the tranny w solenoids also everything else that plugs up to the harness
I'm going to try to engage park and drive by adding a relay to hand brake so when hand brake is up its n park when hand brake is down its on drive don't know how yet but hope it works


If you guys have any info that can help me along the way please do share this is the first swap ever for me so wish me luck
