Is it worth buying a 94 sc300 has 225k miles clean title and the body is in ok condition the outside. The owner is asking $1500 and he owned for two years..
Needs:
Power steering leak
New seats and interior work
Radio does not work
No A/C
Needs new transmission solenoids ( You have to shift manually it's automatic transmission ). I don't know if that's the solenoids the problem or something else!!.
Air bag light on
The owner work on front suspension but needs more work
And some other thinks that I can do myself..

I would say pass unless you want to buy it and make it into a project car with a turbo setup or a gte swap. High miles means you will likely need more than what you listed. Unless the guy can provide proof that he did the timing belt on it recently thats one job that will run you about 6-700. The front lower control arms will likely need to be replaced. I know i gotta replace mine and im only at 150k miles and the arms cost $250 each if you go the method most people here do and get the supra arms. The power steering leak could mean a bad steering rack which is another 3-400 and the busted ac could be a number of things and none of them are cheap to fix. All in all youll probably end up spending close to 4-5k on the car by the time youre done with all the repairs unless you do all the work yourself. Personally id wait for a better deal. You can usually find a ~150k miles SC300/400 in a pretty good condition in the ~$4000 range.

I'd hold off and wait for a nicer example to pop up. Pay more for better example, it will end up costing you less vs money pit of chasing unknown issues and less headaches.

I know that at a 1500$ price tag it may seem like a temtping buy, but I would definitely consider the amount of work that this car will most likely need. u wouldn't do it unless you have something else to daily

I'm going to pass on this one because I ask the owner about the timing belt and he doesn't know if the previous owner did it so it needs a lot of work..

Good decision. Find one with a decent interior ..... All the mechanical issues and exterior can be addressed but repairing/fixing the insides of these cars (separate from the seats) is a real difficult undertaking. The inside door panels and window trims are horrible to deal with.....

Yeah I'm going to wait until I find one in decent shape and I'm going to be looking for a stick shift..
