Question Mercedes heater control valve?

I noticed this article about Supra water vsv (http://www.supras.com/sogi/techtips/...er_vsv_repair/) The author was suggesting that instead of paying Toyota $150 for the water vsv, you can buy MB water vsv and spend very little time modifying it to fit Supra.

From the pictures the Supra vsv looked just like the one in 92 SC400. (Mine was broken but I followed Camshaft's advice and linked the two vacuum tubes together, bypassing the vsv altogether. Water is now passing heater core all the time.)

Has anyone tried using MB water vsv in SC400?

Exclamation

That's a good question. Anyone? Does it work for the SC400?
