Talking My first whip ~~~ 1993 lexus sc300

Ways up you guys. I fairly new and I just bought a 1993 lexus sc300 from a mechanic in the Santa Ana area. I picked it up for $2,100 do you think it's decent ?
What would some body work for the rear fender cost and a new paint job

Either black or white is what I'm aiming for

More detail on car needed for opinions. 50,000 or 500,000 miles? all repairs done or none? how does it check out with intense scrutiny? has it been gone over by great toyota/lexus mechanic etc?

Looks Great though! Congrats! Nice Start!

Seller says it had 160,000 miles before he changed out the cluster
He also told me he rebuild the head

He bought it off of a old lady that he has serviced her before. She keep all receipts from her getting it serviced from the lexus dealership.

I would not THINK of painting that car until EVERYTHING mechanical has been done, wheels, suspension, more repairs, second set of nicer wheels....... you get my drift?

It looks fine! There is an old thread HERE of cars your color (many pics missing). Check it out. It will look AWESOME with a nice tint, drop, wheels!

I was thinking of painting it
The paint has a lot of. Chips and peeling where the sunroof is and other places
I'm looking to replace the seats with newer leather and the arm rest
Other then that it's fine

I really appreciate your guys input. I want to hear out everybody's opinion and suggestions.

One question. How much would it cost to get it painted black ?
Has anybody gotten there sc300 painted and can tell the total cost

The point I was making was about priority mainly. You can blow many thousands on painting easily. Get her running PERFECT before you spend money on appearance. If you have real money for paint now, SAVE IT! You WILL want it for parts and mods. Guarantee!

A freshly painted car with a blown motor is not a good look!

You've got a point there. I'm just not a huge fan of the color scheme with rims
Il look into some parts

Keep the color paint doesn't look bad at all

Sounds like you dont have money for a legit paint job (upwards 3-4k)

Keep the OEM paint.

It will grow on you. Best antidote to a color you don't like are wheels/stance you DO like.

Car looks pretty clean in the pic. You cant expect a 20 year-old car to have perfect paint. Like everyone is saying, spend your money to get the car running perfect and to have a good stance. I just re-painted my 97 5spd and it cost a pretty penny.

Before you paint it get the rest of the 97 kit! I see previous owner already found you a rear bumper
